Bridges Home Celtic concert slated for March 15 at Pearl Theater
Duo features rich vocal harmonies and multiple instruments

BONNERS FERRY – If the lovely strains of Celtic music stir your soul, plan to be on hand at the Pearl Theater on Sat., March 15, when the musical duo Bridges Home takes the stage at 7:00 p.m. for a memorable night of live music.

From rousing pub-style favorites to lilting ballads, the rafters will ring with the sounds of rich vocal harmonies accompanied by a host of musical instruments.

Bridges Home is Tami and Dave Gunter – dual lead vocalists, multi- instrumentalists and purveyors of tasty Celtic sounds.

The Festival at Sandpoint called them “entertaining, endearing and eclectic.” The review from their recent show at the Libby Little Theater reads: “This is the performance you’ve been waiting for – great fun in concert!” Spokane Public Radio host Carlos Alden commented that, “it’s hard not to be awed at their singing, their material, their playing and their love for what they do!”

Local audiences might remember their concert last April, when they performed Americana, folk, roots and original music at The Pearl.

The Celtic music side of Bridges Home sparkles with intricately woven vocal harmonies, accompanied by Celtic Harp, Irish whistles, bodhran, octave mandolin, accordion, guitar, tenor ukulele, banjo, stompbox and washboard.

Their concerts feature an engaging blend that runs from high-energy, foot-stomping sing-a-longs to hauntingly beautiful Irish ballads and finely crafted instrumental duets.

Bridges Home has been featured at several music festivals, including Northwest Folklife in Seattle, The Festival at Sandpoint, the Libby Irish Fair, the Mountain Music Festival at Schweitzer Mountain Resort and the Fall Folk Festival in Spokane, Wash.

Other concert appearances have taken them to the stages of venues such as the 500-seat Panida Theater in Sandpoint, the 300-seat Audi Theater in Cando, North Dakota, the 150-seat Pend Oreille Playhouse in Newport, Wash., and Bonners Ferry’s own Pearl Theater.

Don’t miss Bridges Home in concert at the Pearl Theater on March 15. Café and doors open at 6 p.m. and the concert begins at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $10, $9 for Pearl Theater members, available at Bonners Books and Mountain Mike’s in Bonners Ferry and Eve’s Leaves in Sandpoint.
